Chapter 01:

Flicker

Flicker is a short beauty narrative film capturing two girls in free-spirited moments together, evoking dreamy nostalgia and a sense of beauty defined by comfort, authenticity, and being most true to yourself.

Through intimate close-ups of skin, hair, and features, the film brings to life the feeling of the edge of summer.

Inspired by the emotional language of perfume commercials, Flicker favors feeling over literal narrative, using short, impactful clips, sensorial sound, and rhythmic pacing to create an evocative, nostalgic experience.

The Final Story…

  • A young woman is seen meandering down a path into the forest… as she walks, we are taken along inside her memories of long dreamy days spent wasting time with another young woman.

  • Inside these memories, the two are carefree, intimate but playful, exploring the forest and meadows around them, and frolicking, oblivious to anything but what’s in front of them.

  • As she walks, her memory flickers between different moments allowing the viewer to feel the nostalgia and yearning, and joy wrapped up in these moments.
